Wow! Great post! Don’t feel bad there were a lot of us in that same boat with you, but having wasted time and love is worth some regret and a tear as we move forward. This feeling especially returns once you’ve found your soulmate and wish you could have had that wasted time to spend with them instead of your old dud!!
