The storm is getting bad
but you’re still hanging around.
What do you want from me?
There’s nothing left in me to take.
The wind has knocked down every tree
and the streets are flooded with what we used to be.

Your words always hit home. Thank you. *HUG*

Really like this. It’s quite short but tells its story beautifully with a kind of exhausted, enduring tone. Really evocative and visual. All the love! I think it’s something that a lot of people can project their own situations onto as well. Just the right meld of personal and open to interpretation.
